The links above will open up another page and take you to my individual Flickr photo galleries where you can look at select cover art and other related items from my manga & comic book collection, as well as my shitajiki (pencil boards) and Japanese stationery collections. I’ve been a casual collector of manga and comic books since I was a kid and in the 1990s I published a zine devoted to shoujo manga called Shoujo Shuusan and later a webzine called Shoujo S.I.Ndicate, but in recent years I’ve limited my reading to occasional shoujo manga titles published by Viz and Tokyo Pop. I used to be an avid manga & comic book reader, but I don’t read anything on a regular basis anymore.

I started collecting shitajiki in 1991 because I couldn’t afford anime cels that I wanted at the time and they were the next best thing, but I was impressed with shitajiki designs. I also started buying a lot of cute Japanese stationery at that time. I had lots of penpals back then and it came in very handy, plus I just loved all the different designs I came across. I’ve bought my manga & comics as well as related items from collectors shops, junk shops, garage sales and occasionally ebay. I hope you’ll enjoy looking at pictures of my collections.

In the galleries, you’ll also find my personal tribute to the late great illustrator and comic book artist Barb Rausch. Barb Rausch and I were penpals on & off for about 5 years (1995-2000) and shared our love of shoujo manga and gold & silver age comic books with one another. Before she passed away, she sent me a lot of her lovely artwork (many copies and a few originals) which I hope to share with others here. There is little to no information about Barb and her great work online, so hopefully my tribute to her will fill an obvious gap

Last but not least, occasionally I also like to dabble in illustration myself and a few of my own doodles might also find a home here sooner or later.
